Delivery & Site Preparation
Preparing the site properly is crucial for a smooth and efficient delivery process. Taking the time ahead of delivery helps prevent delays and ensures your building is installed correctly from the start.
Before delivery, it’s important to clear the area of any debris, plants, or obstacles that could interfere with placement. The ground should be level and properly graded so water can drain away, creating a strong and stable foundation for your new building.
Adequate access for delivery trucks and equipment is also essential. When the site is well prepared, it allows for a faster, safer installation and helps avoid unexpected complications.
Site Prep Checklist
- ✔ Ensure there is adequate access to the proposed building location.
- ✔ Confirm the delivery path is wide and tall enough for the building (a minimum of 2 feet of extra clearance on all sides is recommended).
- ✔ Make sure the ground along the delivery path is firm and stable enough to support delivery equipment and the building.
- ✔ A level pad is required. Acceptable surfaces include:
- Concrete
- Gravel
- Bare, level ground
- ✔ If blocks are needed for leveling, they must be provided by the customer.
- ⚠ Important: Do not place the building on blocks yourself. Doing so will void the warranty.
- ✔ Check with your local dealer for additional requirements, as site preparation may vary depending on the type of building.

Delivery Scheduling
Once your building is completed in our shop, our team will contact you to schedule your delivery. We work directly with you to coordinate a date and time that fits your schedule and ensures your site is fully prepared.
Clear communication is important to us throughout the process. On the day of delivery, your driver will give you a call ahead of time to let you know they are on the way to your location. This allows you to be ready and helps ensure everything goes smoothly upon arrival.
With proper coordination and preparation, we aim to make your delivery experience convenient, efficient, and stress-free.

Once your building is completed, we’ll contact you to schedule a delivery date that works best for you.
Yes — your driver will call ahead on delivery day to let you know they are on the way.
Make sure your site is clear, level, and accessible for delivery equipment.

The salesman in Miles City, Robert, was great in answering all of my questions and concerns. The delivery guy, Jason, was also very kind in accommodating my work schedule. After looking around and pricing other sheds we decided that the quality and workmanship of Montana Sheds surpassed anything else out there. We got a 12×16 Hi-Side barn. From my original dealings with Jim, the salesman, to Dusty, the delivery and a follow up call to ask if we were satisfied with the whole process was great . I called Montana Shed to order a loafing shed for my horses, the gal Alexis who helped me was outstanding, they were back logged for ordering but she sold me on a much larger shed they had in stock and verified with me that there was no delivery charge to Ennis. I agreed to the price and gave my cc to complete the deal
A few days later a gentleman called me to schedule delivery, I re arranged my work travel and set the date.
24 hours prior to delivery Alexis calls me while I’m on my business trip to inform me that there will be a 1,500 delivery fee and that she was sorry they made a mistake however if I would order one there would be no delivery fee
Upsetting as it was I just said no and to refund my money

We purchased our shed in Shelley,Idaho the young man who helped us was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the shed— we wanted bigger doors and a loft and he got all the measurements and showed us the complete shed with our measurements.
I received a call from the shed Company and they told me the day we were set up for delivery!!
The young man who delivered the shed was amazing getting the semi backed up between an old car and our house, under power lines and unloaded it on our railroad ties and adjusted it and it looks great!!
We are so happy with our shed and our neighbors love it, too!! I may have talked a few into buying one!!
